A. a check for $1,309.45, a refund in toto for her expenses abroad--apparently as indemnity for its loss of her as a box-office attraction at Forest Hills. Bewildered by such a Simon-pure amateur spirit, the U. S. L. T. A. decided to take it up as new business at their next meeting.
