RETURN TO VENDOR A seasonal sampler of holiday merchandise recalled or deemed defective:

--A plastic squirrel toasting a plastic marshmallow over a tiny tea light was so realistic that the marshmallow ignited. Recalled: 530

--The spring-launched Sky Dancers flying doll also launched 150 reports of injuries, including broken teeth, scratched corneas, a mild concussion and a broken rib, from the pixie's unpredictable trajectory. Recalled: 8.9 million

--Squeeze his plush belly, and the Grinch's heart lights in a fuzzy glow. But some complained that when squeezed, the heart mechanism dropped, leading to a glowing red crotch. No recall is planned.
